The four to six-ply, CCMC-compliant rubberized membrane of Flexstone is built upon a solvent-free base coat, which adheres effectively to a wide range of substrates, including concrete, plywood, and fiberglass, while maintaining its flexibility indefinitely. The base coat is applied generously using a v-notched trowel.

In addition to their visual appeal, the finish coats play a crucial role in the membrane’s performance. Our robust mock-aggregate finishes create a durable yet flexible outer layer that protects the membrane from the rigors of heavy traffic and UV damage.

Flexstone’s foundation is comprised of 100% solvent-free materials, utilizing a water-catalyzed process. This allows for safe application over existing coatings.

In contrast, competing urethane-based products are unable to be applied over previous coatings due to their solvents, which can compromise the underlying membrane. With Flexstone’s waterproofing membrane, you can confidently apply it over old vinyl, fiberglass, or torch-on materials. This practice not only facilitates effective renovations but also helps divert old roofing and decking materials from landfills.
